The Caobos

A 130 m² penthouse located in Medellín's Zona Rosa neighborhood, designed for a single person looking to disconnect from the city's hustle and bustle. The owner wanted soft lighting and mineral and natural materials, creating a unique atmosphere with tones, textures, materials, and objects that evoke the tropics from a minimalist perspective. The kitchen, which serves as the central hub of the space, can be navigated 360 degrees and has corridors leading to different areas.

This apartment was renovated from a 1990s project that featured a small living room with a balcony and four bedrooms. However, the owner wanted to use the space as a single bedroom and a studio for work. To meet this request, the original layout was completely changed, the plumbing lines were moved, the existing ceiling was improved, and the electrical capacity was increased. During the development of the project, all storage areas were optimized and the spaces blended with the design, concealing the laundry areas and expanding both the guest and master bathrooms.
